Road Cycling is a great way to get fit, whilst enjoying a social catch up with your mates as you ride away from the stresses of life. If you want to race there's many options for all levels, this adds to the enjoyment and satisfaction, there's nothing like conquering a mountain climb.
TRAINING
MA has access to a minimum of 5 training sessions per week:
Tuesday- 6:15-7:30pm Vigor Studio - Rollers- Simon
Wednesday 7:00-8:00am Meet Vigor Studio- Liam
Thursday- 6:15-7:30am Vigor Studio - Rollers- Simon
Saturday- 6:30 (4-6hrs) Meet Vigor Studio- Simon
Saturday- 7:30 (2-4hrs) Meet Vigor Studio-Liam
It is important to keep an eye on the weekly updates from Simon and Liam as cycling sessions can vary according to time of year and weather. It is important you are on the MA yahoo groups list to keep up to date with whats on!
Simons sessions are part of the Jarasport Cycling Program , the Rollers sessions cost $10.00 and offer quality professional coaching, the Saturday ride is free to MA members.
Keep an eye out for Simons Summer Velodrome, Crit and M.A team racing events on the Yahoo groups.
Liams sessions are part of the Vigor Cycling Group and and are free for MA members.
RACING
To join CA checkout the memberships page for more information, there are a number of categories so if you are unsure which one best suits you, feel free to ask Simon or Liam.
By joining CA you get insurance (essential to join in on MA training) and a racing licence. CA membership is per calendar year, those joining for the first time
can join from October, 3 months free to attract new members. If you
don't race often enough to justify membership, you can purchase a race
day permit for $20 + entry fee. Remember as a CA member you get a
discount on your MTBA licence, read more about this on the memberships
